I'd bet you that's the first time many, if not most, of those kids have ever heard an adult say that they are amazing people deserving of trust and love. That will make an impact. They will remember. And they'll know that someone cares. Thanks for always sharing yourself. It was a transitional, highly emotional day for my daughter last year when she was able to experience this fabulous opportunity to connect with other kids and herself. I believe this program has made a lasting impression on her heart. Just last week she had the opportunity to be in a fashion show. She ever consider herself the "model type" ~ what emerged was her spirit! She embraced the chance of meeting new people. Afterward she said, "mama, I decided that I wanted to show them just how amazing i am". And she did! Love to you, Laurie. I miss you. Lisa Mc Laurie!
