Good point, Linda! Often we assume there's something hiding behind that answer, like avoidance or denial. But sometimes "I don't know" is the most honest answer in the moment. That acknowledgment is also a great first step to opening up to the "looking".

I have to remind my husband that "I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable response. You don't always have to have the answer. Sometimes it takes a while to find it and I think the process of 'looking' is often more important than 'finding,' too...

I agree and thank you.
"I don't know" is an opening to letting the information to come through.

Thank you for your comment Rita, I'm glad you find the definition useful! I've discovered that the first step in gaining clarity usually starts with "I don't know." It sure beats pretending that you do know. I wish you lots of wonderful new experiences and opportunities for growth on your path!

I've been going through a difficult time lately. When a friend asked if I loved myself, I found myself stumped and replied "in this state of mind, I don't even know what Love is." . . . . I really like your definition. I've printed it as a daily reminder. Thank you.

Too funny, Nik!
I'll add that the "make it hurt so good" philosophy also works with wasabi; and I agree - not so much with relationships.

As always I enjoy your newsletter.
One of the tunes that used to tickle me a lot is John Cougar Mellancamps ditty with the lyric
"Some times love don't feel like it should.
Come on baby, make it hurt so good.!"
I'll have to say that that philosophy works better for salsa, than for a relationship.
