Giving Back

In order to create a truly collaborative culture, one founded on compassion, it’s essential for each one of us to find our own unique way to give back to our communities - both locally and globally. We need to share what we know about love and living a healthy, conscious, compassionate life with the all the other divine beings that co-occupy this not-so-big-anymore planet of ours.

For many years I’ve felt drawn to volunteer, donate, and generally support those who, for a variety of reasons, are struggling with fear in their lives. I had all the excuses: I don’t have the time, I don’t have the money, I don’t know where to look… yada yada yada.

Well, it’s time for me to step up. How about you?

"100 in’08"

My current goal is to use my book and my relationship work to somehow contribute to 100 service organizations by the end of 2008. The number 100 feels mighty daunting - as any really good stretch goal should. And I recognize that it’s not so much about the actual number, it’s about the intention and how that keeps me focused (another one of my challenges!).

I specifically want to connect with service organizations that support families, women, single moms, and teens. I want to share conversations and programs that help them make more conscious, vision-based life choices, and learn how to engage in compassionate communication.

I’m currently formulating ways I can accomplish this big goal, and will be asking for help - LOTS of help. From you, your friends, my friends, your professional network, my colleagues. We’re all in this together!

Please bookmark this site and check back for ways you can help me give back. Or you can contact me through my contact page, or leave a reply below.

Or just call me and let’s chat - I’ll tell you my ideas, you tell me yours, and we’ll see how much of a positive ripple effect we can make together. My number in Denver, Colorado (Mountain Time) is 303-740-0352.

Thanks for caring,

Laurie
